Here we will be highlighting the best businesses to shop in this area based on the upperAttic's experiences and also the 'worst' in this area for the same reasons.
Absolutely the best restaurant in this area is The Varsity in Kannapolis. That is if you like great food in genorous portions served by the friendliest staff around. Go to Highway 29 in Kannapolis just North of the Wilco Hess Gas Station and try their their old fashioned hamburgers, salads, fish, chicken or anything else on the menu. Their prices are old fashioned too.They also serve ice cream and have a complete bake shop for specialty cakes, etc._______________________________________________________________________

Everyone needs to know a good Preacher, Lawyer, Doctor, and Mechanic, and not neccessarily in that order. Thanks to my wonderful daughter Chelsea, I have found that rarest of creatures, an honest Mechanic who is also very good at what he does!! My car almost ate itself as the pulley which carries the all-important serpentine belt decided to fall apart taking with it the battery, radiator, power steering unit, and water pump. But thanks to Chelsea's recommendation, I went to Will Spears at 180 Troxler Circle, Concord (near the KMart on 29) at Poplar Tent Rd. known as Will's Automotive, (704-652-0785) and Will took a personal interest in my situation and ordered the parts I needed and as soon as they arrived he installed them in about 15 minutes flat. I couldn't believe it. No "leave it here for a few days and I'll give you an estimate". No extra charges for mysterious 'fees' etc. He simply fixed my problem quickly and only charged me $170 for a new belt and pulley 'installed' and put me back on the road.
